COMEDY PUB, Oxendon Street, NEAR LEICESTER SQUARE
The 529 Club has now settled into its new venue in central London... The Comedy Pub is just at the back of Leicester Square and has easy access from both Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square Tube stations. There are also a number of parking bays on the street that are free to use after 6:30pm if there are any available.
What is the 529 Club?
The 529 Club is a monthly informal Film & Media networking club run for and by industry practitioners established at Pinewood Studios in December 2009 by Debra Wootton, Tricia Lichfield and Mark Wetherall, to allow the opportunity for everyone at Pinewood or Shepperton studios working either currently or previously on-site to meet with their neighbours. Over the years the 529 Club has grown with 1000 members, moved to the Comedy Pub in central London in May 2019 and is now run by Debra Wootton and Balbir Judge.
This year the 529 Club celebrates 10 years of Networking for Film and Media Professionals. In February we started the celebrations with a sold-out event of 250 guests at Pinewood Studios Heatherden Hall Ballroom.
Although the 529 Club started as just a good excuse to meet their neighbours, it soon became an ideal platform that allowed everyone the opportunity to share ideas, contacts and best practices. With an eclectic mix of interesting and lively Pinewood-based regulars, who are full of surprises, and production houses from central London... it wasn't long before the 529 members were identifying possible areas for collaboration.
In September 2018 the 529 Club had it's first 'Summit useful...' event for Independent Producers bringing together a wealth of information from industry experts, with keynote speakers from the PGGB, Pinewood Studios, Kingston Smith and many more, which was an overwhelming success; so the 529 Club will continue to organise further 'Summit useful...' events for the year ahead.
Join us for another FUN FILLED EVENING
of networking with other Film & Media Professionals
